Hi everyone! I’m Shari, Owner and Executive Planner at lake country event planning and Luxe Travel. I was raised in Washington, D.C., fell in love with events in college (I’m a Hokie!) and I’ve been producing events ever since. Prior to starting lake country event planning, I worked as an events manager for several high-end venues and brands across the United States including Washington D.C. and Los Angeles, CA. My past and current portfolio also includes management services for corporate meetings, individual / group travel and incentives.
I started lake country event planning because my passion of taking someone’s vision and turning it into something real, was a goal of mine that I wanted to share with my community. With the combined love of my community and planning events, I quickly became lake country’s to go-to planner for large scale weddings & events at lake homes & estate properties due to the challenging details involved with private property planning. I also partner with many beautiful venues, country clubs and golf clubs in the lake country area and adore the relationships I’ve made with them. It’s truly a team effort.
Lake Country Event Planning expanded into travel services when clients asked me to assist them with their honeymoons and family vacations. As someone who was part of the corporate travel industry, I saw how important formal training and buying power were so I decided to invest hundreds of hours of studying to expand my knowledge and prepare myself for a practical exam. That allowed me to be powered by LuxRally Travel and thus IATA accredited so I can get the best pricing and benefits for my clients. From there, Luxe Travel was born!
